The Higley Girls Lacrosse program was founded by Whitney Leavitt in 2019, and has transformed from a newly established program to a perennial powerhouse in just a few short years. In back-to-back State Championship appearances, the Lady Knights claimed the Division II Championship in 2021 and nearly repeated one season later after moving up divisions as Division I State Championship Runner-up in 2022. Follow that with a recent 2023 Division 1 State Championship appearance and winning 19-17 in the championship game! On top of that, the Higley Knights finished with a 14-2 record.
With both Varsity and Junior Varsity programs, Higley Girls Lacrosse has a no cut policy and seeks to foster player development, growth, and a love for the game with developing athletes in the JV program while refining skills, preparing for college athletics, and competing for State Championships at the Varsity level.
Currently, Higley Girls Lacrosse is the only high school girls lacrosse program in Gilbert and takes in players from Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek high schools.
